The American Marketing Association at York College of Pennsylvania is prepared for an exciting and challenging year, to afford the opportunities for York College students to gain exposure to the multifaceted fields of marketing in relation to the local business community of York, PA. The American Marketing Association also works closely with the international organization, Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), providing free marketing plans and implementation for SIFE's community outreach projects. The American Marketing Association (AMA executive board has also begun their own outreach program, approaching local business to assist with their marketing needs. In 1990, the YCP Marketing Club became a chapter of the American Marketing Association. The club is a social and informative organization open to any student interested in getting ahead in the business world. AMA is designed to serve as a medium of exchange of knowledge in the field of marketing. Members will enjoy a trade journal throughout the year. Programs, guest speakers, and field trips to marketing related businesses are a large part of the club's activities. After being an AMA member during college, students can then join the professional chapter of the American Marketing Association at a reduced rate for the first year. |
